Model building day one

Asien Trade Center Osaka

We went to the office space today to meet Kato and Victoria and to of their friends who are giving a hand. The exhibition space is at the Asia Trade Center in Osaka. A great example of what was built during the bubble in Japan in the eighties. A very colorful and explosive piece of post modern architecture. The Trade Center has a very wide spread use from restaurants and shopping to exhibition space in the Osaka Design Center. This is where we work and build models. We will build all the models in the echibition space, so you will be able to follow the development. After work Kato and Victoria took us out for dinner and showed us around town. We had this great omelet that you prepare on a hot plate in the table. This is a very traditional dish from Osaka. 

The exhibition space in Osaka. The big piece of foam you see to the left in the picture is the beginning of the 1:1 model that will eventually fill the whole room. This big model will create exhibition spaces for the small models.
